Apple released a new software update for the second generation Apple TV (black). The upgrade brings firmware to version 4.2.2 (essentially the iOS 4.3) and has build number 8F305. Following is the official change log. You can download the official firmware (download here)
The changes in the new version are:
- Audio : fixes a sound problem when video reproducers
- Video playback : fixes a problem in some video content
- Audio output Setting : add option for 16bit output
- Live FF / RW Improvements : improves fast-forwarding and rewinding in live events
- Movie description : fixes the problem description to show some videos
- YouTube Video order : fixes a problem sort of YouTube video
