Sometimes if your iPad may go crazy, if something isn’t working properly or you are feeling your iPad is slow than before, then try restarting iPad or resetting iPad. If your app freeze in middle then try force quitting the application. The appropriate how to instruction are given below.
Restart iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears. Release your finger as soon as the Apple logo appears.
Reset iPad: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake button and Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Force quit an application: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the application quits.
If you can’t turn off iPad or if the problem continues, you may need to reset iPad. Check Reset iPad described above.

When scrolling through photo album by swiping upward on iPad’s screen my iPad will suddenly reset itself. Not touching anything but front screen swiping upwards. I just tried your intended turn power off method to see if that makes a difference. Happened a few times and wondering wtf? Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Cause? Solution if any? Thank you very much.
