According to a report in Digitimes, Apple is planning to adopt a curved screen to cover the next generation iPhone. Digitimes is the one who first reported that Apple will adopt a curved LCD panel display, just like Samsung Nexus S. According to the same publication, manufacturers are hesitant to invest in the purchase of appropriate equipment because of high cost and Apple would have bought up 300 machines dedicated to cutting glass for use by manufacturers. These machines would be found in assembly plants are expected to be associated and sent to production soon.
Digitimes also reported that Apple still has not offered a timetable for the production of the iPhone 5 even after it is in deep discussions with manufacturers. We can only expect iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S in between September to December.
